Blog post

Hello everyone! Lately my skin has been liking my current routine, so I thought I should share it with you. Hopefully these products work as well for you as they do for me. o(^_^ )o

My skin is oily with a small dry patch around my chin. I also experience a lot of hormonal breakouts along my jawline, but since switching to this routine, I haven’t had as big of a breakout in about 2 months now. I think I got 1 pimple in the past 2 months which is a pretty good improvement for me.

Step 1 : Shiseido Senka Perfect Gel cleanser

This cleanser doesn’t foam, but it feels silky smooth. It also leaves my face moisturized, unlike other face washes that make your face feel tight and dehydrated.

Step 2: Shiseido Senka Perfect Morning gel with SPF 50+ PA++++

I mainly got this moisturizer because it has high SPF. This gel is super is very hydrating. I thought I had to use this on top of another moisturizer but it works great on its own. It’s nice too because the SPF doesn’t leave a white cast. I also usually forget to put SPF, but now I remember to because this feels so nice and cooling.

Step 3: Hado Labo Gokujyun lotion

I heard so many raves about this from r/asianbeauty so I had to give it a try… and I absolutely love it. Ridiculously hydrating and my skin really loves this stuff. It soaks this all up and feels plump and soft after each use.

The gel moisturizer and Gokujyun lotion also work great under makeup. They serve as a good base for both powder and liquid foundation.

Step 1: Shiseido Senka Perfect Whip cleanser

This cleanser foams up really nicely. My face feels really nice and clean after using this, but it doesn’t strip the natural oils and moisture of my skin and leaves it nice and hydrated.

Step 2: Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Triple‑Action Toner

I’m not gonna lie. Sometimes this stings lol. I think it’s because it has alcohol in it. It works to fight my acne breakouts, though. I also think it’s the reason why my skin hasn’t broken out in 2 months. It can be drying, though, so use a good moisturizer!

Step 3: Ponds Dark Spot Correcting Cream

When my acne goes away, there’s always dark spots where my acne used to be. The highly rated reviews on Wal-mart convinced me to buy this, but at first I was skeptical. Over time and daily use, though, I have noticed a huge difference on my dark spots.

Step 5: Mario Badescu Drying lotion

I apply this with a q-tip when a pimple pops up. It works as a spot treatment and dries up the pimple quickly. Sometimes it works for me, but sometimes it doesn’t, though lol. I think it depends on how deeply rooted the pimple is underneath the skin.

And that’s my skincare routine! It’s working for me right now, so I hope my skin doesn’t decide to change its mind haha. I also need to incorporate something for my mild rosacea because I have noticeable redness/rosy-ness on my cheeks.
